Animation/Graphics

We provide a number of graphic and animation services. We can provide flat animation, 3D graphics, 3D animation, technical drawings and conversion to 3D, video production and photographic services. Below are just a few examples. You may also review our graphics work on our client's sites from our web development page.

MMD is currently producing a new animated short titled "Boing!" Featuring a noisy and mischievous ball that wrecks havoc before...well we can't spoil the surprise can we!

The Amasigne Stone Graphics was produced for a customers web site before the product was produced.

The Racewalker Android is an Animated sequence from which a print graphic was made. The image was rendered using volumetric lighting and a starfield post production effect.

The manned submersible below is part of a test animated sequence. The submersible was modeled in Rhino then exported to 3D Studio. Reverse kinmatics was added to the articulated arm allowing drag and drop movement during the sequence. An atmospheric gizmo was drawn around the submersible model. Blue fog was then added in rendering effects along with volumetric lighting. The effect is pleasing and comes pretty close to what you might actually see on a 150' (48m) dive.

This animated sequence of a biplane bombing a house was created using an explosion plugin built around a light source and then keyframed to coincide with the house blowing apart. The parts of the house fly away and follow normal gravity paths as the fireball dies down.

The female foil fencer is part of an animation demonstration reel. The figure executes several paries, then a lunge. The 11 second sequence uses volumetric lighting, and ray traced reflections on the glossy glass like floor. A tracked key light is used to highlight blade movement while the obtuse lighting in regards to the camera maintains the female figure primarily in shadows.

Meet ScooterBird. This fellow was animated into a television commercial for a West Coast ad campaign on a new line of in-line skates and skate boards. The ground plane was alpha'd while a temp coordinate grid was loaded as a back ground image to coordinate Scooter's movements with video action. Scooter was then composited into the video sequence along with sound tracks and voice over.

The USS Monitor was created from the original blueprints and is done to scale. Minor corrections were made where the original drawings were incorrect. The interior of the vessel is complete including an articulated engine, fully rotating turret and rudder. We believe this is the most complete USS Monitor 3D model is exestence.

This is a test drawing of an underwater habitat for conversion into VRML for the ScubaCentral.Com web site.
